| Name :: Shadowblade Skillset :: Small Arms, Alteration, Stealth, Trapping Description :: Signaling for her companions to wait, a halfling creeps forward through the dungeon hall. She presses an ear to the door, then pulls out a set of tools and picks the lock in the blink of an eye. Then she disappears into the shadows as her fighter friend moves forward to kick the door open. A human lurks in the shadows of an alley while his accomplice prepares for her part in the ambush. When their target — a notorious slaver — passes the alleyway, the accomplice cries out, the slaver comes to investigate, and the assassin’s blade cuts his throat before he can make a sound. Suppressing a giggle, a gnome waggles her fingers and magically lifts the key ring from the guard’s belt. In a moment, the keys are in her hand, the cell door is open, and she and her companions are free to make their escape. Shadowblades rely on skill, stealth, and their foes’ vulnerabilities to get the upper hand in any situation. They have a knack for finding the solution to just about any problem, demonstrating a resourcefulness and versatility that is the cornerstone of any successful adventuring party. The Shadowblade class is one immersed in shadows and secrets. Only those who pay devotion to Yami, the Goddess of Darkness, may walk this path. It originated long ago with a Mondelf by the name of Katyr Sarrieth. After forsaking society as a whole and deciding to walk the path of life alone, his combat style soon came to reflect the solitary nature he now carried. Legends say that he was a master of daggers and shortswords, using them to gracefully outmaneuver and defeat opponents far stronger than he was. There are few official records on him, however, as he chose the path of stealth and hiding. His presence would oft remain concealed lest a trigger draw him out. - Class Abilities:
Shadow Dweller :: Shadow Dweller Shadowblades are capable of delving into their own shadow in order to escape damage or to simply hide. Once within the shadow, they are immune to any and all damage aside from light element techniques. This goes both ways, however, as the Shadowblade is also unable to attack without leaving their shadow. The shadow itself can do very little aside from moving around at a speed equal to that of the Shadowblade hiding within it. It can also climb up vertical surfaces with ease. Another notable feature of the Shadow Dweller ability is the Shadowblade's ability to capture virtually anything within it. Also worth noting is that if one wishes to leave the shadow, they are free to do so as the shadow lacks the ability to keep them contained. Should the Shadow Dweller die, anyone remaining in their shadow will die. - Beginner - Shadow can contain up to one person and may be used once per topic.

Speedster :: Speedsters are those Shadowblades who have dedicated everything to the pursuit of raw speed. It is through this ability that a Shadowblade can achieve speeds unmatched by virtually any others. That's not to say that it won't require work, however, as this ability will replace the value for Agility stat according to what your level in Speedster is currently, plus one level. This means a Beginner Speedster will have a passive Agility of Novice level. Those with this ability are, furthermore, immune to any and all speed debuffs of this ability's level or lower. - Beginner - Agility is Novice level and you are immune to Beginner level speed debuffs.

Invisibility Cloak :: The Invisibility Cloak ability is fairly straight forward. The user will coat their body with mana and use it to bend light itself; leading them to appear almost entirely invisible. The higher their level with this ability, the more difficult they are to detect. This is because even if one is invisible, it's entirely possible that they may be detected via other methods besides sight.
