The Race List is divided up based on a handful of archetypes, which can be found above. Races are actually divided further into different sub-types of each archetype. An example of this would be the Elven Races, which include the High Elves, Dark Elves and the Wood Elves. Likewise, all other races are split into similar groups. Your race will determine many aspects of your character, such as their general appearance, strengths and weaknesses, as well as how they're able to interact with other characters, or how other characters might perceive them. So choose wisely and only after reading over every race available to you.

You will be allowed to choose up to two strengths from each race, but you must also choose up to two weaknesses to balance them out. Each race has five strengths and weaknesses total, and the weakness you choose doesn't necessarily have to correlate with the strength you chose. Furthermore, some may decide that they like the features of two different races equally and would like a Hybrid. Hybrids are permitted, but you may not be a hybrid of any more than two races. However, you will be allowed to choose which Strengths and Weaknesses you take from them, as well as how you'd combine their physical features (if at all, even).

You may have two strengths that boost a stat, just as long as they don't boost the same stat. However, you may only have one that grants an advanced element. If you already have one strength that gives you Light, for example, then you can not also start with the Ice element as your second strength.

- Primian (First One) -

Description | Primians were the first of the human races, and the first of all races. Born of the divines' collective input, they are the most balanced, flexible and diverse in terms of combat and magical ability. They've used this flexibility to their advantage in establishing the vast Kingdom of Serenum. They are generally average in all regards, although they have the potential for greatness in any number of capacities. They were the founding race of the Kingdom of Serenum, and have ruled over it, as a race, for many centuries. For that reason, they comprise an overwhelming majority in the capital city of Solaris, as well as the entirety of the royal family and higher military rankings. Centuries of Primian rule has turned many in the city cynical towards anyone who isn’t at least among one of the human races, even generally viewing those who aren’t pure-blooded Primians as lesser.


Appearance | One of the most diverse races in terms of physical appearance, the skin, hair and eye colors of Primians vary wildly, allowing for any number of potential hues depending on their location and background. The height of a fully grown adult generally ranges between 5'6" and 6'2".

Strengths |
> Serenum’s Light – Able to start with and utilize the element of Light.
> Socialite – CON is passively increased by one level when in a group.
> Charming – CHA is passively increased by one level at all times.
> Jack of All Trades – Advancing to Expert level or below requires 500 less EXP.
> Smooth Talker – The cost of NPC goods equal or lower than CHA level are reduced by half.

Weaknesses |
> Corruptible – Takes 50% more damage from the Dark Element.
> Codependent – CON stat is passively decreased by one level when alone.
> Gullibility – INT stat is passively decreased by one level at all times.
> Master of None – Advancing to Master or higher in any skill requires 750 more EXP.
> Tough Sell – NPCs are only willing to pay you for half the value of your goods.

- Valen (Mighty One) -

Description | Valens evolved from the original humans, Primians, many centuries ago, due to having adapted to a more tropical climate in the southern portion of what has become the Kingdom of Serenum. They are a stocky, powerful race that are known to be extremely quick and hardy. Many consider them to be the greatest warriors in all of Sosaria, due to their excellence in all arts concerning blade or shield. The majority reside along the southern coast of Serenum, although they have a large presence along the Midwestern coast in the Kingdom of Dentro as well. They primarily worship the God of Fire, Pyrus, but have also been known to hold the Goddess of Earth, Terra, in high esteem as well. The City State of Yew is where the most Valens, in all of Sosaria, may be found. They hold the majority there in terms of both population size and political representation. Due to centuries of exploitation at the hands of the Primians, Valens have become skeptical of the other human races and will often have trouble trusting any who aren’t a Valen. This has also helped their people forge a collective bond that rivals any other. Their sense of camaraderie and duty to their people has allowed them to maintain power and influence, despite their homeland now being subject to foreign rule.

Appearance | Although little has changed with regards to their appearance, their skin tone is typically a much darker shade than either Primians or Celeros, and their wool-like hair is can be either a dark shade of brown or black. The height of the average adult generally ranges between 5'10" and 6'6", making them the tallest human race.

Strengths |
> Powerhouse – STR stat is passively increased by one level.
> Strong Body – CON stat is passively increased by one level.
> Iron Lungs – STA capacity is passively increased by 25 SP at all times.
> Willpower – All diseases and poisons take twice as long to take effect.
> Skirmisher – Able to dual wield two weapons at a time, if Strength permits.

Weaknesses |
> Feeble Mind – INT stat is passively decreased by one level.
> Slow Paced – DEX stat is passively decreased by one level.
> Mana Block – Mana capacity is passively decreased by 25 MP at all times.
> Hyperimmunity – The effects of the poison or disease is doubled when it takes effect.
> Magically Inept – Ascending to each skill level in all Magic Skills requires 500 more EXP.

- Celeron (Quick One) -

Description | Celerons are those humans who migrated to Lunari many centuries ago, where they ended up mixing with a small group of Light Elves to produce descendants who were much more adept, magically, than the other Human Races. They are considered by many to be one of the most intelligent races in Sosaria, known for a proficiency in abstract thinking, one of the possible reasons for their adeptness in the magical arts. They reside, primarily, in the Kingdom of Lunari, even if small, nomadic groups exist across all of Sosaria. They are generally rejected by the Lunarian royal family, as they are a combination of both Luxelves and Primians, both considered to be mortal enemies of the Mondelves. For that reason, most Celerons travel throughout all of the lands in groups, while a handful have formed settlements throughout the unexplored areas of Lunari and Serenum. Despite their nomadic nature, however, many have found their way to Solaris City and Winter’s Keep, in hopes of achieving their dream of adventure or magic, respectively. They generally view Mondelves as the enemy, due to their Luxelven ancestry and being discriminated against by the Lunari government for that reason.


Appearance | They're typically of a light, almost pale, complexion and their hair color ranges from the lightest blondes to the darkest browns, while their eyes are typically blue or green in hue. The height of the average adult typically ranges between 5'4" and 6'0", making them the shortest of the human races.

Strengths |
> Abstract Thought  – INT stat is passively increased by one level.
> Nimble Body  – DEX stat is passively increased by one level.
> Spellbade  – Able to use their weapons as triggers for magic.
> Lunari Ice  – Able to start with and utilize the element of Ice.
> Lux’s Light  – Able to start with and utilize the element of Light.

Weaknesses |
> Feebleness  – STR stat is passively decreased by one level.
> Elven Fragility  – CON stat is passively decreased by one level.
> Short Winded  – Stamina capacity is decreased by 25 at all times.
> Fire Intolerant  – Takes 50% more damage from the element of Fire.
> Corruptible  – Takes 50% more damage from the Dark Element.

- Luxelf (High Elf) -

Description | Luxelves are one of the oldest races, alongside Primians. They consider themselves to be the greatest of all the races due to being personally created by Lux, the God of Light, himself. Luxelves are almost entirely a race of magic users, although there are some who opt for the path of the spellblade. Luxelves are predominately found in scattered factions all throughout the Kingdom of Serenum and even comprise roughly a third of the faculty at Winter’s Keep.

Appearance | Luxelves tend to have a light, nearly pale, complexion and usually have blue, green or golden eyes. Their hair is almost always blonde, but light browns are also common. The height of the average Luxelf adult ranges between 5'4" and 5'10".

Strengths |
> Elven Wisdom – Wisdom stat is passively increased by one level.
> Lux's Light – Able to start with and utilize the element of Light.

Weaknesses |
> Elven Fragility – Constitution is passively decreased by one level.
> Corruptible – Takes 50% more damage from the Dark Element.
- Mondelf (Dark Elf) -

Description | Mondelves are fairly new to the world of Sosaria, but are at no disadvantage despite this. They control the vast Lunari Kingdom, having acclimated to the arctic temperatures over the course of their existence. They're remarkable quick on their feet and possess an unusual aptitude for the element of Darkness, likely thanks in large part to having been created by the Goddess of Darkness herself, Umbras. Mondelves have been at war with the Luxelves since their creation, but generally get along with Holzelves.

Appearance | Mondelves tend to have a very dark complexion that is usually of a blue or purpose hue, but varies. Their hair color tends to fall under black, blue, purple or red and their eyes usually match their hair color. The height of the average adult Mondelf generally ranges between 5'4" to 6'2".

Strengths |
> Elven Agility – Dexterity stat is passively increased by one level.
> Dark Affinity – May start with and utilize the element of Darkness.

Weaknesses |
> Physically Weak – Strength stat is passively decreased by one level.
> Photosensitivity –  Takes 50% more damage from the Light element.
- Holzelf (Wood Elf) -

Description | Holzelves are among the greatest warriors in the world, rivaled perhaps only by the Valens. They do not believe in solving all of their problems with magic and therefore have become resigned to small settlements scattered throughout Sosaria. These strongholds were held on to through many wars with surrounding races and kingdoms. They are a proud people and are quick to stand up for themselves when it's demanded. They are very in tune with nature, which has helped them to get by without magic.

Appearance | Their skin tone typically ranges from light to dark brown, although there are rare cases where their skin possesses a green hue instead. They are stockier than the other elven races, perhaps owed to their might, and their eyes can range between the deepest browns to the lightest greens. The height of the average adult usually ranges between 5'6" and 6'6".

Strengths |
> Stone Body – Constitution stat is passively increased by one level.
> Earthen Spirit – Spells & Techniques of the Earth element cost half the MP.
Weaknesses |
> Ignorance  – Wisdom stat is passively decreased by one level.
> Fire Intolerant – Takes 50% more damage from the element of Fire.
