PostSubject: List of the Races   Tue Oct 23 2018, 16:58

The Race List is divided up based on a handful of archetypes, which can be found above. Races are actually divided further into different sub-types of each archetype. An example of this would be the Elven Races, which include the High Elves, Dark Elves and the Wood Elves. Likewise, all other races are split into similar groups. Your race will determine many aspects of your character, such as their general appearance, strengths and weaknesses, as well as how they're able to interact with other characters, or how other characters might perceive them. So choose wisely and only after reading over every race available to you.

You will be allowed to choose up to two strengths in total, but you must also choose up to two weaknesses to balance them out. Each race has five strengths and weaknesses total, and the weakness you choose doesn't necessarily have to correlate with the strength you chose. Furthermore, some may decide that they like the features of two different races equally and would like a Hybrid. Hybrids are permitted, but you may not be a hybrid of any more than two races. However, you will be allowed to choose which Strengths and Weaknesses you take from them, as well as how you'd combine their physical features (if at all, even).

You may only have two strengths that passively boost a stat, just as long as they don't boost the same stat. You may have a third boost if that boost is conditional. However, you may only have one that grants an advanced element. If you already have one strength that gives you Light, for example, then you can not also start with the Ice element as your second strength.

- Primian (First One) -

Description | Primians were among the first of all the sentient races, having evolved from nothing more than unusually social beasts. Born of the divines' collective input, they may very well be the most flexible and balanced race there is. This is clearly seen throughout the Kingdom of Serenum, with Primians comprising a sizable bulk of every profession, whether it be as simple as crafting or as complex as magic, they’re known the world over as Jacks of All Trades. They are a proud race, their pride oftentimes outweighing that of any other race, which has resulted in a de facto class system in cities they control. Their aversion to other races has created an environment difficult for others to thrive in, due to comprising the majority of the population throughout the Serenian continent.

Appearance | One of the most diverse races in terms of physical appearance, the skin, hair and eye colors of Primians vary wildly, allowing for any number of potential hues depending on their location and background. The height of a fully grown adult generally ranges between 5'6" and 6'2".

Strengths |
» Serenum’s Light – Able to start with and utilize the element of Light.
» Socialite – CON is passively increased by one level when in a group.
» Charming – CHA is passively increased by one level at all times.
» Jack of All Trades – Advancing to Expert level or below requires 500 less EXP.
» Smooth Talker – The cost of NPC goods equal or lower than CHA level are reduced by half.

Weaknesses |
» Corruptible – Takes 50% more damage from the Dark Element.
» Codependent – CON stat is passively decreased by one level when alone.
» Gullibility – INT stat is passively decreased by one level at all times.
» Master of None – Advancing to Master or higher in any skill requires 750 more EXP.
» Tough Sell – NPCs are only willing to pay you for half the value of your goods.

- Valen (Mighty One) -

Description | Valens evolved from the original humans, Primians, many centuries ago, due to having adapted to a more tropical climate in the southern portion of what has become the Kingdom of Serenum. They are a stocky, powerful race that are known to be extremely quick and hardy. Many consider them to be the greatest warriors in all of Sosaria, due to their excellence in all arts concerning blade or shield. The majority reside along the southern coast of Serenum, although they have a significant presence in the Kingdoms of Yew and Dentro as well. They primarily worship the God of Fire, Pyrus, but have also been known to hold the Goddess of Earth, Terra, in high esteem as well. The City State of Yew is where the most Valens, in all of Sosaria, may be found. They hold the majority there in terms of both population size and political representation. Due to centuries of exploitation at the hands of the Primians, Valens have become skeptical of the other human races and will often have trouble trusting any who aren’t a Valen. This has also helped their people forge a collective bond that rivals any other. Their sense of camaraderie and duty to their people has allowed them to maintain power and influence on the continent.

Appearance | Although little has changed with regards to their appearance, their skin tone is typically a much darker shade than either Primians or Celeros, and their wool-like hair is can be either a dark shade of brown or black. The height of the average adult generally ranges between 5'10" and 6'6", making them the tallest human race.

Strengths |
» Powerhouse – STR stat is passively increased by one level.
» Strong Body – CON stat is passively increased by one level.
» Iron Lungs – STA capacity is passively increased by 25 SP at all times.
» Willpower – All diseases and poisons take twice as long to take effect.

» Slow Paced – AGI stat is passively decreased by one level.
» Mana Block – Mana capacity is passively decreased by 25 MP at all times.
» Hyperimmunity – The effects of the poison or disease is doubled when it takes effect.
» Magically Inept – Ascending to each skill level in all Magic Skills requires 500 more EXP.

- Celeron (Quick One) -

Description | Celerons are those humans who migrated to Lunari many centuries ago, where they ended up mixing with a small group of Luxelves to produce descendants who were much more adept, magically, than the other Human Races. They are considered by many to be one of the most intelligent races in Sosaria, known for a proficiency in abstract thinking, one of the possible reasons for their adeptness in the magical arts. They reside, primarily, in the Kingdom of Lunari, even if small, nomadic groups exist across all of Sosaria. They are generally rejected by the Lunarian royal family, as they are a combination of both Luxelves and Primians, both considered to be mortal enemies of the Mondelves. For that reason, most Celerons travel throughout all of the lands in groups, while a handful have formed settlements throughout the unexplored areas of Lunari and Serenum. Despite their nomadic nature, however, many have found their way to Solaris City and Winter’s Keep, in hopes of achieving their dream of adventure or magic, respectively.

Appearance | They're typically of a light, almost pale, complexion and their hair color ranges from the lightest blondes to the darkest browns, while their eyes are typically blue or green in hue. The height of the average adult typically ranges between 5'4" and 6'0", making them the shortest of the human races.

» Short Winded – Stamina capacity is decreased by 25 at all times.
» Fire Intolerant – Takes 50% more damage from the element of Fire.
» Corruptible – Takes 50% more damage from the Dark Element.

- Gigan (Giant One) -

Description | Gigans are an extremely rare race of humans who migrated to the most arctic regions of the Lunarian Kingdom, adapting to the harsh environment and begetting spawns of miraculous physical size, fortitude and strength. Referred to unkindly as ‘Giants’, they are generally feared by those of small stature due to their careless and clumsy nature. While some Gigans were recruited into the Lunarian military, some by force, many managed to escape to asylum in the Kingdom of Serenum. Although they face harsh discrimination at the hands of the other races, they typically maintain a heart of gold and a passion for helping people. Despite being so few in number, many have gone on to become great adventurers who left their respective marks on history.

Appearance | Gigans vary largely in every regard, able to possess any hair and eye color imaginable, much like Primians. What's most notable about their appearance, of course, is that they're absolutely massive in size and typically have an abundance of facial and body hair. Their average height generally ranges between 8'0" and 14'0"

» Brute Strength – STR stat is passively increased by one level.
» Thick Skin – CON stat is passively increased by one level.

PostSubject: Elven Races   Wed Oct 24 2018, 11:44

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- Luxelf (Light Elf) -

Description | Luxelves are one of the oldest races, alongside Primians. They consider themselves to be the greatest of all the races due to being personally created by Lux, the God of Light, himself. Luxelves are almost entirely a race of magic users, although there are some who opt for the path of the spellblade. Luxelves are predominately found in the Kingdom of Pluvia, where they rule over the capital city and the land as a whole. Scattered factions also exist all throughout the Kingdom of Serenum and even comprise roughly a third of the faculty at Winter’s Keep. Luxelves generally consider Mondelves an enemy and Celerons an abomination due to not being of pure Luxelven blood. Their superiority complex has led to them ruling over Pluvia with an iron fist, viewing all other races as inferior and viewing hybrids as impure and detestable.

Appearance | Luxelves tend to have a light, nearly pale, complexion and usually have blue, green or golden eyes. Their hair is almost always blonde, but light browns are also common. The height of the average Luxelf adult ranges between 5'4" and 5'10".

» Feeble Body – STR stat is passively decreased by one level.
» Short Winded – Max SP capacity is passively decreased by 25 SP.
» Mana Resistant – Max MP capacity is passively decreased by 25 SP.

- Mondelf (Dark Elf) -

Description | Mondelves are fairly new to the world of Sosaria, but are at no disadvantage despite this. They control the vast Lunari Kingdom, having acclimated to the arctic temperatures over the course of their existence. They're remarkable quick on their feet and possess an unusual aptitude for the element of Darkness, likely thanks in large part to having been created by the Goddess of Darkness herself, Umbras. Mondelves have been at war with the Luxelves since their creation, but generally get along with Holzelves. As far as those who reside in Serenum, however, the vast majority have chosen the path of rogues, thieves and assassins, oftentimes making it into a lucrative career in the Serenian underground.

Appearance | Mondelves tend to have a very dark complexion that is usually of a blue or purpose hue, but varies. Their hair color tends to fall under black, blue, purple or red and their eyes usually match their hair color. The height of the average adult Mondelf generally ranges between 5'4" to 6'2".

» Short Winded – Max SP capacity is passively decreased by 25 SP.
» Mana Resistant –Max MP capacity is passively decreased by 25 MP.

- Holzelf (Wood Elf) -

Description | Holzelves are among the greatest warriors in the world, rivaled perhaps only by the Valens. They do not believe in solving all of their problems with magic and therefore have become resigned to small settlements scattered throughout Sosaria. These strongholds were held on to through many wars with surrounding races and kingdoms. They are a proud people and are quick to stand up for themselves when it's demanded. They are very in tune with nature, which has helped them to get by with little in terms of magic. The largest population of Holzelves may be found in the Republic of Yew, living alongside the Valens.

Appearance | Their skin tone typically ranges from light to dark brown, although there are rare cases where their skin possesses a green hue instead. They are stockier than the other elven races, perhaps owed to their might, and their eyes can range between the deepest browns to the lightest greens. The height of the average adult usually ranges between 5'6" and 6'6".

- Glacielf (Frost Elf) -

Description | Glacielves are a rare race of elves originating in the far north of the Lunarian Kingdom. Born with a natural resistance to freezing temperatures, and a magical affinity for the element of Ice, they are the embodiment of the cold. Even the blood that flows through their veins takes on a white hue and almost freezing temperature, making them cold to the touch, even in the heat. Glacielves have, historically, been at odds with Mondelves and Holzelves. Despite this, many are Lunarian mages and often reside in Glacius as part of the Lunarian military. Others, however, live in small clans along the northern coast. Created by Gelu herself, they are highly favored by her and owe much of their magical ability to it.

Appearance | Glacielves typically have the palest of skin tones and snow white hair. The hue of their irises depend entirely on clan that they hail from, with some possessing a pure white shade and others a light blue. Varying shades of white and blue are most common, but not entirely standard.

Strengths |
» Ice of Gelu – Able to start with and utilize the element of Ice.
» Elven Agility – AGI stat is passively increased by one level.
» High Intellect – INT stat is passively increased by one level.

PostSubject: Dwarven Races   Thu Nov 29 2018, 12:23

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- Terrans (Earthen One) -

Description | The Terrans are short, stocky dwarves who are generally enduring and strong. They’re one of the proudest races, primarily due to their contributions towards the intellectual faucets of magic and crafting. Terrans have discovered many of the metals that are used today. Furthermore, they are known throughout the land of Sosaria for their excellence with Trade Skills. For that reason, they’re highly sought after by all kingdoms, despite being split into numerous, scattered groups by war with those kingdoms. The majority of Terrans reside in the Serenian Kingdom, although many can also be found in Lunari and Yew, albeit as minorities. Although capable of using magic and fighting in combat, neither have ever been their specialty and thus very few ever opt to try. Terrans have historically only been at odds with one kingdom and that's Serenum, due to having lost their homes to war with the kingdom and many being forced to flee to Lunari in hopes of one day reclaiming their lost lands.

Appearance | Terrans can come in a wide variety of hair, eye and skin colors, depending largely on their geographic location. However, they are among the shortest of the races, their heights generally ranging from 2 to 4 feet. They're stockier than the Parvuns, but not quite as hefty as the Terrans, making them moderate in size and weight as far as the Dwarven races go.

Strengths |
» Thick Skin – CON stat is passively increased by one level.
» Craftsman – The post or word requirement to create any item is reduced by half.
» Powerhouse – STR stat is passively increased by one level.
» Dwarven Intellect – INT stat is passively increased by one level.
» Child of Terra – The MP cost for all Nature techniques is reduced by half.

Weaknesses |
» Heavy Footed – AGI stat is passively decreased by one level.
» Magically Inept – The mana cost for all spells is doubled.
» Ignorance – WIS stat is passively decreased by one level.
» Socially Inept – CHA stat is passively decreased by one level.
» Flame Intolerant – Takes 50% more damage from the element of Fire.

- Parvun (Small One) -

Description | Parvuns are unusual Dwarves that take the form of a small human child, persisting even into their later years. Created by Ventus, Parvuns are usually quick and agile, unlike the other Dwarven races. They excel in both combat as well as magic, and their small statue makes them most apt with light weapons and light armor, even if some defy this standard. The Parvuns have never established a city or kingdom of their own, due to being of a nomadic nature. Rather than living in one place and building a city, they've opted to split into small communities and travel all of Sosaria. They enjoy fun and games more than anything else and their goal in life is to travel the world in search of the best games and contests. Many are insecure about their appearance, due to having extensive contact with humans. Their child-like appearance can oftentimes make it difficult for them to communicate with human adults in the beginning, because people take them for nothing more than mere children at first glance.

Appearance | With the lightest build of all the Dwarven races, Parvuns are usually very slim, but just as short as the other Dwarven races. Parvuns also come in a wide variety of hair, eye and skin colors, depending largely on their geographic location. They aren't the shortest or tallest of the races, but generally range between 3 and 5 feet depending on their age.

Strengths |
» Nimble Body – AGI stat is passively increased by one level.
» Small Might – STR stat is passively increased by one level when opponent is bigger.
» Child of Ventus – The POW of Wind Element moves and spells are boosted by one level.
» Eternal Youth – You will never age or suffer any age-related ailments or demise.
» Chronomancer – You are able to utilize spells that alter the flow of time itself.

» Weak Frame – CON stat is passively decreased by one level.
» Overconfident – STR stat is passively decreased by one level when opponent is smaller.
» Bane of Terra – Takes 50% more damage from the element of Nature.
» Low Immunity – Poisons and curses take effect twice as quickly.
» Mana Instability – Max MP capacity is passively decreased by 25 MP.

- Fortian (Tough One) -

Description | Just like Terrans, Fortians were created by Terra, the Goddess of Nature. However, while Fortians excel when it comes to crafting, Fortians are more apt for combat due to their height and large build. They comprise a sizable portion of the Lunarian army for that reason, while those who've migrated to the Serenian Kingdom have mostly found their way to Solaris city in hopes of joining the Royal Army or becoming an Adventurer. Although they are generally inept when it comes to the arcane arts, it is not impossible for them to use magic. It is more often

Appearance |

Strengths |
» True Might – STR stat is passively increased by one level.
» Fortitude – CON stat is passively increased by one level.
» Weighted Strikes – The POW of moves that use only SP are increased by one level.

PostSubject: Bestial Races   Thu Nov 29 2018, 12:53

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- Leonus (Feline) -

Description | Leoni are, perhaps, the loneliest of the bestial races, but they would have it no other way. Loners by choice and scavengers by nature, Leoni are generally lauded as the quickest and most agile of all the races, resulting in a large number opting for the path of the rogue, assassin or thief. The Leoni are a proud people, however, and even their thieves and assassins tend to hold a personal code of ethics. Quick not only on their feet, but also in their wit, Leoni possess a keen mind and perceptive outlook. Comprising the elite special forces of the Dentronian Kingdom, they’re typically adorned in light armor and wield light weaponry such as daggers and other weaponry that are able to be thrown.

Appearance | Having been created from felines, Leoni are covered in fur from head to toe, complete with ears and tail. They are typically lean and lightly built, with slits for pupils that widely vary in size, and somewhat in shape, depending on their ancestry.

» Photosensitivity – Takes 50% more damage from the element of Light.
» Suspicious Aura – CHA is passively decreased by one level.

- Canin (Canine) -

Description | Canins tend to live in packs, not too dissimilar to a family, in which every person has a role to fulfill. They are the most prevalent in leadership among the bestial races, able to garner the support and loyalty of even the others. They are usually fiercely loyal to the alpha of their pack, and even more so to the King of Dentron. Likewise, the alphas and king are loyal to their people. Being group oriented, they value kinship and commitment above all else. Opting to pursue social and emotional intelligence over book smarts and power, Canins are quick to act but always decisive when it comes to determining what must be done and doing it promptly. If not for this characteristic, the Kingdom of Dentron may have never come to be in the first place.

Appearance | Having been created from canines, Canins are covered in fur from head to toe, complete with ears and tail. While dog and fox Canins are typically somewhat small and agile, wolf Canins are much larger and built for power as opposed to agility.

Strengths |
» Pack Alpha – CHA stat is passively increased by one level when in a pack.
» Pack Beta – WIS stat is passively increased by one level when in a pack.
» Fox's Wit – INT stat is passively increased by one level.
» Lone Wolf – STR stat is passively increased by one level when fighting alone.

» Fox's Fragility – CON stat is passively decreased by one level.
» Carnal Impulse – The POW of defensive Moves and Spells are decreased by one level.
» Survivor's Guilt – If a comrade dies, your CON stat is decreased by one for the topic.

- Serpen (Reptile) -

Description | Serpens are highly intelligent, generally regarded as the cleverest of all the bestial races. Additionally, they are physically adept, being stronger and more agile than other races. This physical power has resulted in the collective development of a dominant and assertive personality. Most give off an almost narcissistic aura, perhaps believing in their own strength just a bit too much. Due to their large and muscular build, they tend to favor large, destructive weapons and heavy armor that offers maximum protection. Although originally opposed to the establishment of Dentron, they refused to be the only ones of the bestial races to be excluded from its establishment. Ever since, they have served as the highest ranked generals and military officers in the kingdom, thanks to their affinity for tactics and strategic warfare. However, they have always been opposed to Canins ruling over them.

Appearance | Having been created from dragons, snakes and lizards, Serpens are known to either walk or slither, depending on whether or not they possess legs. They are comprised entirely of scales, with some even possessing wings capable of flight.

- Avian (Bird) -

Description | Avians typically choose to live in pairs in densely forested areas or high up in a range of mountains nearby. They tend to be flighty and timid, often observing situations from afar before deciding what to do. It is thanks to the Avians that Dentron managed to scrape through the Kingdom War unscathed, due to their ability to fly out and strike ships before they ever made landfall. Despite this, they are very paranoid and calculating, able to formulate complex strategies and tactics in the midst of battle. They usually prefer to use ranged weapons and don light to medium armor.

They are a highly organized people and an elected chief rules over respective tribes. They’re typically magic casters and have a natural affinity for the arcane arts. Due to creating their societies underwater, they’ve faced less wars than other races, but some have been subject to hunting at the hands of Primian fishermen.
