| Standard Iron Dagger Name :: Standard Iron Dagger Type :: Weapon Quality :: Novice Craft Skills :: - Blacksmithing (Novice) Material(s) :: 1 iron ingot, 1 leather strip Weight :: 1 lbs Dimensions :: 3in x 9in Appearance :: The Standard Iron Dagger is mainly comprised of iron the blade itself is a little over an inch wide at its widest point and forms a sharp point at the end. Running along the top and bottom of the blade is a grooved spike that protrudes ever so slightly from the rest of the blade. Their sharp points make penetration of flesh much easier and is often where some wielders opt to layer with poison. Aside from the bottom, which is capped with iron, most of the handle is composed of leather with a couple of iron rings. Only the exterior of the handle is composed of leather, however, as its core consists of iron which runs from the bottom of the blade to the cap at the bottom of the handle. This core extends outward in several places on the leather grip, giving the appearance of iron rings. This leather allows one to wield the dagger without injuring their palm too much. Abilities :: None Description :: The Standard Iron Dagger is the secondary weapon of choice for most mercenaries, spies, rogues, thieves or anyone looking for a little something to protect themselves. While its short blade makes it difficult to parry or block in a sword fight, its light weight makes it ideal for quick strikes that are difficult to block or avoid. The most common use for iron daggers, however, is assassination. They're an extremely cheap weapon but can still get the job done just as well as anything else if the victim is unsuspecting. Requirements :: - Novice in Small Arms |
