The Rocky North is filled with nothing more than wild clans of barbarians, vast mountain ranges and solid stone for miles. Extremely few people come here aside from those who reside in Dixia. Due to the nature of the landscape, it is extremely difficult to build on or cultivate. It is for this reason that Dixia remains, and may long remain, the only city constructed in the region.

The Mountain Lands are known for, you guessed it, mountains. The entire region is filled with long, sprawling mountain ranges of various sizes. Many have traveled from far and wide just to go mining and expeditioning along them. Despite the constant tourism, the more traditional city of Yanshi has maintained control over the region and has been fighting for years to end all tourism of the mountains.

The Northeast Coast consists of a wide region along the coast comprising the northeast corner of the Maderan continent; along with a series of tiny island not far from the shore. Its longest regional border is shared with the Mountain Lands buffered within this region by a thick and densely wooded forest that sprawls parallel with the mountains.

The Swamp Lands are vast and dangerous, filled with all manner of vicious creatures with a thirst for blood. It is said that the swampwaters themselves carry a potent form of mana commonly used in potions. Due to this strange water, along with the general nature of the region, there are extremely few settlements and no villages to speak of. It is mostly desolate and sees only travelers or adventurers seeking the source of legends.

The Eastern Coast consists largely of densely forested regions, clear green plains and even a small mountainous area to the south. Numerous port cities exist along the coast, importing various goods from Anemos, Miesta and even Lunari. At the same time, they export their own goods and resources to the very same nations via these port cities. It is for this reason that countless roads runs throughout the region and are kept well-maintained.

The Maderan Desert is the area found on the southeasternmost portion of the Maderan continent. The climate here is extremely arid, leaving only the most resilient of flora and fauna to thrive in the region. There are exceptionally few settlements due to the lack of resources needed to sustain a population, but it remains a mining hotspot for Madera, as all manner of metals, gems and coal can be found in deposits all over.

Xueshan is the capital city of Madera and is predominately composed of canins, who rule over the city itself. It's also home to the Congress of Madera, which is comprised of all the bestial races. Due to its size, population and wealth, it has become a cornerstone of Madera's Economy, thanks in large part to the production of magical tools and artifacts.
